Yards Brawler , Boasting superior taste and champion flavor, Brawler is crafted in the style of English session ales. This malt-forward, ruby colored ale features flavors of freshly baked bread and caramel that dominate the aroma and palate.
Yards Cape of Good Hope (Seasonal) , Cape of Good Hope Expedition 2012 is our interpretation of a generously hopped Double IPA. The heaps upon heaps of Cascade, Crystal, Calypso, Columbus and Bravo hops deliver aromas of pineapple and tangerine, while the Crystal and Aromatic malts add body, sweetness, and a balance of biscuit and caramel flavors.
General Washington's Tavern Porter , Brewed to rally his thirsty field soldiers, General Washington’s Tavern Porter™ is smooth, rich, and warming with chocolate and coffee flavors. It’s inspired by Washington’s original recipe, and reflects his admiration of Philadelphia-style porters, especially those brewed by Robert Hare, whose original brewery stood just blocks from where ours is now.
Yards Olde Bartholomew Barleywine , This Barleywine-style Ale was brewed for characters like him. It’s an unfiltered ale, a winter warmer with a smooth malt background, soft fruit overtones and a slight hop spice in the finish. Just a few sips are sure to arouse the character in all of us.
Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale , Not to be boastful, but we honestly believe that all other ales pale in comparison to this one. Brewed with pilsner malt, Philadelphia Pale Ale is crisp and hoppy, bursting with citrus flavors and aromas.
Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce , Initially brewed to commemorate Ben Franklin’s 300th birthday—not to mention his affinity for fine ales—Poor Richard’s Tavern Spruce™ is based on Franklin’s original recipe. It uses spruce tips and molasses as barley and hops were not readily available at the time.
Yards Saison , From the French word for “season,” Saisons were historically brewed to keep the farmhands happy and hydrated during the warm summer months. Crafted using Belgian pilsen malt and candi sugar, this golden Belgian style ale is a refreshing change from your usual beer lineup.
Thomas Jefferson's Tavern Ale , While Jefferson vehemently opposed a strong central federal government, he apparently had nothing against strong ales like this one. Thomas Jefferson's Tavern Ale is a golden ale with dried fruits and toffee aromas inspired by Jefferson’s original recipe that called for wheat, honey, and rye from his Virginia estate.
Trubbel de Yards , Trubbel is somewhere between a Dubble and a Trippel! Darker in color, sweet and high in alcohol.
Yards Extra Special Ale , Crafted from the finest ingredients and originally intended for the cask-ale connoisseur, Extra Special Ale is a traditional English-style ale with notes of chocolate and hop spiciness throughout. We consider this our flagship beer, appreciated by Yards aficionados for more than 15 years.
Yards India Pale Ale , IPAs were originally brewed to survive the epic sea voyages from England to India. Ours is no different. Hailing from a perfect marriage of sweetness and bitterness and loaded through and through with citrusy and piney hops, this beer will surely survive the journey from your fridge to your couch.
